On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. Learning to relax while being uncomfortable was a very hard thing to do. But it was necessary. Once it...
From the outside of the building, I thought it was more like a quick grab-n-go sandwich type of eatery. I was wrong. This is a sit-down style restaurant. The menu was great - lots of selection for us who were there only for a quick lunch date 😉
On average, it's around $10 per order of an omelet, breakfast stuff like waffle/French toast, or an egg specialty. Here's a picture of their menu.
There was also a special menu for the day we were there.
Here comes hubby's order: Nutella Stuffed French Toast
Here's my order: The Avocado Omelet. Came with two slices of toast.
Hubby's Nutella Stuffed French Toast was astonishing....when the waiter brought the plate over, we were like "woooooah!" Nutella was everywhere - on top of the toasts, under the toasts, and in between the toasts. Hubby was very happy with his order. However, it's definitely not my dish...I don't mean it in any negative way. The toast was fluffy and the taste was good. It's just I usually steer away from sweets and anything sweet (I prefer savory much much much over sweets) so my only impression of his "stuffed toast" was just - very nutella! Each bite was filled with nutella. I mean, I only took one bite to try and my mouth was filled with the aroma of nutella 😆!
We also ordered pesto salad as a side. The pesto was good, but I wish it had more pesto sauce with it. Hubby only took a bite of the pesto salad. I think he was too distracted by his "nutella bomb" (what we called it that day). So I finished the pesto salad and he took my toasts for more dips with his nutella bomb. Overall, our lunch date was a success. We had good talks and enjoyed the food. We don't have many lunch outings because hubby is usually in Fort Collins during the day for work while I'm home in Windsor, but I like our spontaneous lunch dates 😄!
