Welcome, Baby A.

On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. Learning to relax while being uncomfortable was a very hard thing to do. But it was necessary. Once it...

New curtains and FLÅDIS

Earlier this spring, before WHO declared the pandemic we're living in, we went to IKEA on a weekend and made minor changes for our home decor. Tada~ Mr. L added a curtain rod on top of the screen door that leads to the backyard. I've been wanting to add curtains to this not only for decoration purpose, but also for privacy because it faces the balconies of an apartment complex.  I picked 2 sets of curtains that are both white. One is see-through, offers sunlight during the day, while the other is more of a decorative piece.

At first, it took me a little bit of time to get used to them. I mean the night after everything was put together, I found myself looking at it and not sure what could be improved. I like the idea of the curtains, but also was a bit worried that maybe I added too much white at once. Then the next day came, and when the sunlight hit through and lit up the dining area whilst it showed no sight of the balconies of the apartment complex, all of my worries went away haha!

Lulu has been a good helper by not messing around with the tools 😂

This is one of the picture frames I saw at Ikea. The simplicity of it offers a calm vibe to me. I didn't buy it though, but it prompted me to organize my photos & looked for more frames online. I plan on making a gallery on a wall next to our stairway later.
Aside from the curtain rod and the curtains, we also bought a basket (FLÅDIS) from IKEA. The purpose of the basket is for guests/us to leave stuff in at the entryway.

The first night it arrived our home though, it acted as a premier hideout spot for Beibei....😆 She went in, circled many laps, took a nap inside it. Woke up to smack Lulu in the face while still being inside the basket, and napped again.

Anyhow, after 1 night of use, Beibei has moved on and no longer finds interest in napping in the basket. So the basket is now back on serving as a bag holder to hold my grab-and-go purse. However dorky our cats and dog are, we find much joy in having them with us. They truly make our lives better! 💗💗💗

Have a good day, y'all!
