On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. Learning to relax while being uncomfortable was a very hard thing to do. But it was necessary. Once it...
So Friday was the start of my week 5 on the pills. So far, the only side effect that's bothering me is the occasional tingling that usually happens occur in my left side of body. Seeing the red-orange pee isn't that weird to me anymore. I just hate the random tinglings because sometimes they do hurt (shooting pain that lasts no more than 5 seconds) and it happens without any signs...it just happens...I've noticed it usually happens on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday's the day I take those pills. Since my red-orange pee goes away by Sunday evening, I'm guessing whatever's in the pills are mostly out of my system by Monday. Also, I find the double-diet* not too hard anymore, good sign? yeah :)
*double-diet=(1) INH diet, and (2)pre-diabetic diet.

Dinner-
McDonald's chicken nugget meal with sweet & sour sauce. "Medium" lemonade.

Partially due to my overused brain power on reading and typing. After about 10 hours of straight plain-reading 7 papers that were not in my area of interests, Mr. L's urge in take out has made my diet seem more "what the heck, I'm hungry, if I wait for another hour in prepping and cooking, might as well get stomachache from starving," for the moment I gave up on no-processed food/fast food/junk food/no sauce/no soda.

Breakfast -
A glass of warm milk tea
Lunch -
Panda Express "peking beef" and "kung-bao chicken" with chow-mein. Half a cup of coke.
about 4pm -
A glass of cold milk tea
Dinner-
France-bought "instant mushroom risotto" (I added some frozen mixed veggies too: carrots, corn, and green beans)
Weight: ???
Exercise: walked 45 minutes
Side effect: tingling in my hip while having Panda Express (left side too, this whole left-side-tingling is sometimes is just too weird!)
Side note: Yes, I went junk food style all the way in the past couple of days and today's lunch! There's "???" next to weight because I didn't weight in this morning - two reasons: (1) I was in a hurry of getting out of the house for a meeting, and (2) guilty and worried the number will reflect and remind of all the goodness (i.e. bad) I ate in the past 72 hours or so.

Brunch-
A bowl of ground beef rice stew (Angus ground beef, white rice, chicken broth, powdered white salt, pepper, and black pepper)
Lunch-
Leftover France-bought "instant mushroom risotto" (I added some frozen mixed veggies too: carrots, corn, and green beans)
Dinner-
Lovely dinner at a friend's house. Indian food. Don't know the names but will upload the pics soon
and a slice of "vanilla honey cake" (flour, white sugar, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract)
Weight: 169.8 (those junk food!!![holding my fist])
Exercise: walked 30 minutes
Side effect: none
Side note: This week has been a "total experimental" week since I've broken so many restrictions I've set for myself. So much fast/junk food, had soda, and today I even made a cake and yes I will eat some of it! If I feel fine (fine as just regular random tinglings and red-orange pee) after I take my pills tomorrow, I'm going to guess I can maybe further my "experiment with food" while in Atlanta..:p
