On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. Learning to relax while being uncomfortable was a very hard thing to do. But it was necessary. Once it...

Merry Christmas!
We stayed up pretty late on X'mas Eve so we didn't even leave the bedroom until past noon on Christmas Day. Nothing was planned for Christmas Day except our cooking fest and a game night with a friend over Steam. The game night was set to begin at our 6pm (friend in a different timezone), so that meant we needed to finish cooking before then. We started dinner-prepping around 1pm and made 6 dishes from there. Surprisingly, the "meat" course was the easiest one to make! I used a Crock Pot to make brown sugar pineapple ham which turned out super juicy (just threw everything in the Crock-Pot and let it cook for hours on high, no fuss)! We also made a few calls and wished one another a safe and happy holiday. Opened up presents, ate our hearty Christmas dinner, and played Don't Starve Together for hours. Just what a nice day it's been! One little hiccup that happened just past midnight was Duke and Lulu both threw up...it looks like the new canned food I gave to Duke...was just not going well with his stomach. Lulu threw up because, well, she throws up hairball regularly because that's cat life. Other than the puke incidents (one happened right after another), Christmas Day started and ended just right.

It's kinda funny to see "shipping boxes" as presents under the tree 🎄

One of the presents for Beibei and Lulu is this "cat hammock." Lulu didn't pay much attention to it at first, but as soon as a dash of catnip was sprinkled on the hammock...she immediately went crazy at it and didn't leave the hammock for a long while. It's such a great feeling to see her appreciate the little gift and seeing her so attached to it already makes me very happy.
Wish you all a safe and a joyful holiday season!
聖誕快樂!
