On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. W and I celebrated my birthday by trying out different eateries this month 😀 One of the eateries we tried out was Tous Les Jours. Tous Les Jours is a Korean-French chain bakery. There are two locations near where we're at: 1 in Hillsboro and 1 in Beaverton. We visited the one in Beaverton in the first week of December.
這個月, W先生和我藉著嘗試沒去過的餐飲店來慶祝生日! 其中一家 是叫做Tous Les Jours的韓式法式連鎖烘培店 ("韓式的法式烘培料理"). 我們住的附近有兩家: 一家在Hillsboro, 一家在Beaverton. 我們在12月第一個禮拜去的是位在Beaverton的店.
Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was oh my gosh that smell!! Heavenly smell! The bakery looked very clean. Pastries were wrapped in individual packages, with the exception of hot items.
一進入店裡的第一個印象就是 哇 那味道! 超級香!! 店裡看起來很乾淨, 櫥窗上的商品 只要是自助式的都是一個一個包起來, 除了熱的商品.
The selection was bigger than expected, though some shelves were half-empty, kinda sad and looked deserted. Most pastries and bread were within the $2.75-$3.75 range. The cakes were pricey, though they definitely looked tasty.
選擇感覺滿廣的, 不過有些架子上是半空著 有點冷清. 大部分看到的烘培商品跟麵包都在$2.75到$3.75之間. 蛋糕價位滿高的, 不過看起來好像滿好吃.

I saw some rave reviews about the blueberry yogurt cake (cake on right in the bottom picture, $6 per slice). I didn't try it this time because we were already getting a whole tiramisu, but I wanna try it the next time we go again!
在Yelp上看到很多評價狂推 藍莓優格蛋糕 (下面照片裡 右邊的蛋糕, $6一份切好的). 這次我沒有買 因為已經有一整個提拉米蘇了, 不過下次我們再去的時候, 我要買這個來試試!

| W said he pre-ordered the cake by phone. He was disappointed that they couldn't customize it by adding any message, not even a name on the cake. The "happy birthday" sign was completely edible (made of chocolate). We finished the cake on day 5? It was silky smooth and rich. Each bite burst with that aromatic bitterness unique to tiramisu. W先生說他是用電話先訂購了蛋糕. 他說 滿失望商家無法做一些客製化 像是不能在蛋糕上面寫字, 也不能加名字. 蛋糕上插著的"happy birthday"字樣標示 是可以吃的(巧克力). 我們好像第五天才吃完? 很柔滑也很濃厚. 每一口都有提拉米蘇獨特的醇香苦味 |

| About the pastries we got, well, they were gone within 48 hours 😂 One unfortunate thing was we didn't get to eat that seemingly top-seller strawberry-filled pastry. It became soggy, literally there was water and was reeking of alcohol (overfermentation, maybe this sat on the shelf too long), so we threw it out. Everything else was nice. The bottom right one was a mushroom bread and I liked it a lot. 至於那些除了蛋糕外的烘培點心, 他們在帶回家的48小時內就被處理完畢了! 不過很可惜的, 看起來是個人氣商品的草莓麵包, 我們沒吃, 因為他出水嚴重而且有很重的酒精味(酵母發酵太久, 大概這個在櫥窗尚待得有點久), 所以扔了. 其他的都不錯. 右下角那個 蘑菇麵包 我很喜歡!
