On Baby A's birthday, the c-section surgery went as planned. I walked into the OR around 9:30am and was pushed out around 2 hours later. W was instructed to wait outside while the team was getting me prepared for anesthesia. He then got invited to come in and sat next to me while the team worked on getting Baby A out of me 😂. W was a good DJ and Baby A was born while Taylor Swift's Shake It Off was being played. So...did I feel any pain during this life-changing surgery? No, I didn't. I had a spinal block. I never felt any type of pain during the surgery. Getting the anesthesia injected - however - was the most uncomfortable part of the surgery. There was a lot of pressure. I felt my back being pulled or pushed, or something. It just felt very uncomfortable, not painful, but very uncomfortable. It was also hard to try leaning toward the source of that uncomfortableness. Learning to relax while being uncomfortable was a very hard thing to do. But it was necessary. Once it...
[Pregnancy Diary] Week 31 Unboxing Gifts, Baby Registry Completion, Bigger Appetite but Smaller Stomach

Everything in the picture above is from our friends & colleagues! We can't believe how many gifts we've received from so many people!! We opened most gifts during the virtual baby shower, but not everything arrived before the shower and we only opened the ones from guests who attended the shower. So Week 31 was when we opened EVERYTHING!

Okay, this is definitely not a necessity but I just loved the idea of organizing clothes by size. So I ordered a packet of little wooden cloth dividers. I also ordered 50 baby wood hangers.

A huge thank you to our friends from Colorado who sent us a box of baby clothes. They were gently used and oh so cute!

I washed all of the baby clothes and hung them up. It's all looking pretty real hahaha!

Another "category" of items I started washing was cloth diapers. We received 12 as gifts and I got some more for our stash. We're gonna really give cloth diapers a try!

So another thing happened this week was I used one of the two completion discount coupons with Amazon! Whew, Amazon's order was $823.39!! Thankfully, the completion discount, plus the gift cards from friends, covered a chunk of the order. Again, super grateful that we received so many things from friends so that they already helped us save a lot of money! We plan on using the second completion discount coupon after delivery - for anything we might find that we'll need later, and that crib and the beddings for the crib!

The last piece we bought from IKEA (yes, we went to IKEA again) was a rolling cart. It's going to be a "pumping cart" and my snack bar 😃 Along with the rolling cart, we picked out a sheer curtain for the nursery as well.

Before leaving IKEA, we had one last IKEA meal (thinking we probably won't be back for a while now that we've been here like 5 times within 5 weeks hahaha)!

While in Portland, we visited this tofu place (more like a tofu factory) called OTA Tofu. I found this by word of mouth on Facebook and Yelp reviews just "made me" feel like I had to go buy their tofu & soy milk. So we did!

Just as we were leaving OTA Tofu, I received a text from a friend saying "come in, we're across from you" and turned out our friends were at a restaurant just across the street from us! We actually had already started the car and drove off the street but we went back and went inside the restaurant to say hi to our friends, and got some togo boxes 😂

Oh yeah....my desire to eat has been amplified for real this week. We even went to a buffet restaurant for lunch once this week. Also had more takeout this week (bossom aka Korean pork belly). The sad thing is I can only eat a little bit of food at a time even though I felt like I could eat more. That acid reflux just wouldn't leave me alone and comes after just several bites of food.
